Hello Experts,
I have configured a sample Cisco IP Phone Lab network as shown in the attached PDF. I have also attached my configs - the only difference between the lab and my configs are the interfaces..
I was wondering if someone could tell me how would I go about actually testing the lab without actual IP Phones? Basically, I need to simulate the phone traffic to determine that the lab is actually workig but don't know how.
Also, a section of the lab in task 4 states the following:
Configure switch DLS2 to forward DHCP requests to servers 192.168.1.254 and 192.168.2.254
However, wouldn't it be better if the helper-address pointed to DLS1 on 100.1.1.1? Don't understand why the author of the lab suggested 192.168.2.254 and 192.168.1.254
Thanks in advance for your help
Cheers
Carlton
BTW, feel free to comment on the lab as you see fit.

Hi Experts,
Any thoughts?
Maybe you could recommend a packet simulator?

Hi,
You don't need a traffic generator or physical phone.
You can install a softphone on your PC from http://www.ipblue.com/download.asp
