Gigastack module, port configuration

Hello,

I am fairly new to this network and am trying to figure the STP topology to find redundant links and whatnot.

We have switches with gigastack adapter in 1 of the two fibre channels (GigabitEthernet 0/1 and 0/2)

when run sh interfaces gigabitethernet0/1

output shows 0/1 is up, media CX, link 1 is up, link 2 is up.

0/2 is true fibre channel

when run sh spanning-tree,

output is, GiGabit 0/1 altrn Block

Gigabit 0/2 Desg

on other switches show

Gig 0/1 root fwd 4

Gig 0/2 Desg

I want to know how to differentiate between which link, link 1 or 2, on the Gigastack is the blocked one. one link goes to other switch, next in line. one link goes to redundant link, (uplink)

any input helps

thanks,

Try show cdp int g0/1 on the gigastack switch.
