The big difference is that GLBP does load balancing automatically whereas HSRP doesn't. (You can make HSRP work, but with different gateways.) GLBP will use WAN links to send traffic out of in a round robin fashion to help with load balancing, and HSRP just sits waiting to be failed over to.
Other than that, GLBP and HSRP do about the same thing.
