GLC-GE-100FX= compatibility with WS-X4448-GB-SFP

Hello,

I have one switch cisco 3550FX on distribute layer and i cant establish connect with my CORE Switch 4506 with de module WS-X4448-GB-SFP, i'm trying to use this module together with GLC-GE-100FX.

I already know that GLC-GE-100FX is compatible only on DSBU switches.

I was thinking if there's compatible IOS that enable the WS-X4448-GB-SFP to work with GLC-GE-100FX.

GLC-GE-100FX= compatibility with WS-X4448-GB-SFP

Hi,

Just a UP for this question/problem.

We encounter actually a problem with GLC-GE-100FX not recognized on 4507R+E with SUP7L-E in version 3.4.0SG (last version of IOS XE). We try to insert the GLC into a WS-X4448-GB-SFP but the module isn't recognized and we obtain the following message :

*Feb  6 01:53:26.631: %C4K_TRANSCEIVERMAN-3-INCOMPATIBLE: Port Gi1/3: New transceiver (speed 100Mbps) is incompatible with this module

Regarding all the release notes and compatibility matrix : all should be ok (firmware version, hardware, ...)

It's also imposible to use the speed command on the interface to force 100Mb/s speed...
