GVRP blocks switch?

I am new to networking. When I try to connect a 3512-XL-EN switch to a simple layer-2 switch(no setting at all,p&p switch),the connection to WAN is kind of cut off.I can only receive GVRP,ISMP.EDP,LLDP and CDP packages and nothing else.(sniffer on a computer connected to the SimpleSwitch)

WAN---SimpleSwitch---3512 (all FE connection)

When a 3620 router instead of a 3512 switch is connected,it's fine   but as soon as the switch is connected   the wan connection is cut off

I suppose it is kinda network management measure or inappropriate setting in STP or GVRP?

I want some easy explanation,thanks
