hairpinning

Hi all

Can anyone tell me what hairpin routing is ?

It is when you route back out the same interface. Routers do this fine, pixs not at all, asa only with a special command

e.g. Multiple subnets on same router interface (secondaries), and unicast traffic wants to go from one subnet to the other.
