Help in stacking 3 2960 S switche cables

                   Hi all,

I need to stack 3 2960 S series switches together.

Each switch has 2 stack ports 1 and 2.

Need help in how to make right cable connections between them?

Switches are in stack but few ports are down how can i make all stack ports up up?

Hi,

Down means that a cable is detected, but either no connected neighbor is up, or the stack port is disabled. The 2nd option is likely to be the reason here  - check if one of the corresponding ports was disabled on a switch.

You could try

     switch 2 stack port 2 enable

     switch 3 stack port 1 enable

You've got a stacking cable missing or not "clicked" in properly.

Thanks eveyone for their help.

I changed the cable connections to switches  and did reboot after that all  switch ports were ok
