Hi Everyone,

I  am tracing route from say sw1  in network.

From Sw1 say i am tracing 192.168.50.10

Sw1  say to reach the destination 192.168.50.10 next hop is 192.168.60.1.

I went to device  say sw2  and found the interface with ip 192.168.60.1.

now from sw2 i again did  sh route 192.168.50.10  it shows sw2  learn the route  statically and next hop is 192.168.70.1.

now i went to sw3  and found that this ip is svi vlan20 192.168.70.1.

Also i found that sw3 has destination ip with svi vlan10 192.168.50.1.

Need to know if my tracing should end on sw3 ?

Regards

MAhesh

Hi Mahesh,

The traceroute should end on the device owning 192.168.50.10. So not sw3 but the device directly connected to it.
