These is a silly question but pls give the information about ip virtual-reassembly and encapsulation ppp ,why we use that and if not use what happened ? pls...

Hi,

Let me try this.

ip virtual-reassembly N/A

encapsulation ppp is used on serial lines or ISDN lines this is L2 encapsulation protocol used to transfer ur IP data over these media.If u r connecting two remote locations over serials links then u have a choice of using either HDLC or PPP.

If u r not using this then the connection will not be established.
