Help with Qos Configuration

Hi,

I have recently started with Cisco Networking so my knowledge is still quite basic.

We have a Cisco 4506 with a Supervisor Engine V and I have configured to prioritize Packets with DSCP Value of 46 for our Voip environment(Softphones).

I have mapped all other DSCP Values to different queues and allowed just DSCP = 46 to be mapped to TxQueue 3. Qos is globally enabled on the switch and the Gigabit Interface is set to trust the received DSCP Values. Then I have assigned a high priority to TxQueue 3 and reseved a bandwidth of 10 Mbps.

If i connect my laptop now to said interface and run Wireshark + our Softphone(eyeBeam) I can verify that all packets are sent with a DSCP Vlaue of 46, however my packet counter for TxQueue3 on said interface remains near to 0 and TxQueue 1 is filling up instead.

Help on this would be much appreciated.

Best Regards,

Philipp
