Re: High cpu rate in Catalyst 3750 with HULC LED process
HULC is a process responsible for link status detection. This task will be erformed after POST is done. The LED process wakes up every 40ms to maintain the LED states. Inside this infinite loop, it will perform the following tasks.
1. Gather Status Information.
2. Calculate Display Mode.
3. Calculate LED States.
4. Calculate the Color.
5. Write the settings to LED register.
The normal CPU value for this is within 5-15% range.
I have seen this process taking somewhere near 5-7% in release 12.2(25)SEB4 and sometimes breaking the stack and remaking the stack also lower down the cpu utilization for this process.
