High Temperature level on 7609 with RSP720-3C

Hi All. Indeed, my guys had informed me about the failure of one of the RSP720 modules on our 7609 chassis. We suspected on Temperature of the site and check the Temp. of our routers. You may find them as below (e.g. module5 which have RSP installed on it):

{

module 5 outlet temperature: 33C

module 5 inlet temperature: 26C

module 5 device-1 temperature: 43C

module 5 device-1 temperature: 43C

}

So, as Cisco recommendation, the Operational Temp. should be smthg btwn 0-40 C. It's OK on our NEs. On the other hand, I've also seen another recom. from Cisco side which mentioned about "Storage Temp." to be smthg btwn -40 to 65 C. Frankly, I do not know if Storage Temp. has any relation to our internal Temp. Sensors (Device1/2) or not?!

Would anyone please advise?

Thanks in advance &

Regards,

I believe storage temperature is for when the device is off (such as stored in its shipping container).

You r completely right. Tnx for the prompt response.
