how can i see TTL when i ping from cisco router ?

hi, im wondering about how can i see the TTL when i ping from the router ???  the output is  !!!!!! or ........

how can i see the result as i ping from my pc ????

There is not an easy way to get the output on the Cisco router to look like the output on your PC. You could perhaps run a debug (perhaps debug ip packet or maybe debug icmp) and find the TTL in the debug output. Or if you have recent version of IOS that supports packet capture you could do a capture of packets including the ping, and then use an analyzer such as Wireshark to read the capture and give you the TTL.

Those options might work but they are complex and difficult. It would be better to accept that the router output is different and when it is important to know the TTL to do the ping from a PC and not from the router.
