How can we set 2950 swtich IOS to be loaded from TFTP

Hi All,

I have gone through some cisco links and found we can NOT set 2950 switches to be loaded from TFTP server . However we can set multiple IOS images by using ";"

#config t

#boot system flash:

   c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-13.EA1.bin;c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-12c.EA1.bin

Please post your thoughts.

Dear Sri,

Yes u r right u can use multiple images in ur flash but also depends if they all r having the same feature set and also the size of the flash matters a lot, and you can use tftp server to load IOS, if it's in d same vlan you wont be facing any issues, see that udp/69 is open and u can use the following command to work

boot-start-marker

boot system tftp <image name> <ip address>

boot system flash

boot-end-marker
