Hi all, can switches/routers forward millions of pps without any issues ?

Hi Carl,
A switch or router can keep on forwarding the packets untill it experience some physical or logical problem. There is no limitation in terms of number of packets. These network devices are to be up all the times.

Hi Carl,
the data sheets will specify the forwarding rates for switches (in packets per second). Rates vary according to the switch models and supervisor cards used.

Look under switch/router performance depending what you are looking for. The #'s are not exact because everyone's environment is different but it should give you a rough idea.
