how to avoid configuration lost after reboot for Catalyst 2960?

Hi all,

We implement a Catalyst 2960 in our test system, we just use it as a terminal server and DHCP server. Sometimes we need to reset it, and after the reboot, the configuration will be lost, include its host name, DHCP setting, line setting.

Then we need to connect to its console port and re-config it. Is there any way to avoid the configuration lost? Thanks in advance!

Hi Friend,

Option 1 :- Wr mem and reload.

Option 2:- Save in flash your running config  copy running-config flash:filename and do reset/reboot and copy flash:filename running-config.
