Hi All,
We have a 2511 terminal server. When I console into 2511 and then telnet to the different port, I'm able to use "CTRL+SHIFT+6" plus "x" to exit current session. But when I telnet 2511 with specified port from the desktop on the network, the exit "CTRL+SHIFT+6" plus "x"doesn't work anymore. Do I need configure the vty in 2511 something special to make this work? Thanks.

Hi Lou,
When you telnet from your PC to the 2511, "CTRL+SHIFT+6" plus "x" does not work. You exit by just typing "q" and enter. "CTRL+SHIFT+6" plus "x" is for jumping around from one device to another when you are at the 2511 just like the first scenario you described.

Thanks Reza. When I hit q and enter, it just exit from the device session. If I hit enter again, it just goes back to that device. I usually enter exit to totally exit from the telnet window. But right now the exit only exit the privilage mode. I'm still in that device.
