How to make 2 ways multicasting traffic?

Good day,

I have a network with multicast (pim sparse mode). My network topology is made up for stations transmitin multicast video towards the Data Centre. Actually the multicast goes just in one way, I mean, from the remote stations to the Data Centre. My problem is that I have one application in the Data Centre that needs to use multicast towards the stations, that means that my originally receiver becomes a new active multicast source, so I need to define the multicast in the routers upstream as well. How could I do this?

Thank you very much in advance,

Best regards,

Alberto

Hi Alberto,

are remote stations > datacentre  layer 3 ?

you say you have pim sparse mode multicast network already , do you have static RP or Auto RP?

For starters you will need to put pim sparse mode on Data centre interface ,  so that the router knows that the multicat stream exists in mroute table

could you give us bit more details on your current multicast set up

Many thanks
