How to remove encapulation slip on 3800 device on async interface

The below is my config on my device. when i do no encapulation slip. i get no error message. but if i verify the config again. it still remains . I appreciate your help. Thanks.

interface Async0/2/0

no ip address

Hello,

For Async interfaces Slip is the default encapsulation.  If you want to change it to another type, you can for example type "enacp ppp"
