How to remove module from running-config without reload switch?

Dears,

We just bought a new module  WS-X6816-10GE, and insert into Cat6509 slot 8 by test.

And now we move it back to slot 7, then show module, the new module appears on both slot 7 and 8.

Then I try to reload module, and show module again, It's come back to normal.

But through show run commond, I still see the interface TenGigabitEthernet8/1 -16 in it.

And I tried to use "no interface te8/1" to remove the interface from running-config, but it doesn't work.

Is there any way for me to remove it from running-config without reboot switch?

hehe,First encounter，It does not affect your work on slot 7 .

Proposal ，wr-------copy start-configt  tftp------check it.

  try to :default int g8/1   。

That config is stored in RAM, and everyting works fine.

If I backup it to tftp, and modify the config then copy it back to run, the running-config will be "merged" but not overwrited.

I afraid that I need to reboot the switch

What you should have done is use the module clear-config command before removing the module.  What you can try is to put the module back into slot 8 and then follow the instructions in this link -
