how to shaped traffic based on source / destination on a Core Cisco 6509

To begin with I would suggest you to take a look into QoS Guide for Cat6500 family switches. It's a very comprehensive document with a lot of useful information about QoS architecture:

Shaping as a feature on Cat6500 platform has a very limited support on PFC3 based linecards, please, let us know what do you want to achieve as a result of your rate limitation and we can come up with a propriate solution for you.

Thank you so much for your valuable information.

We have SQL servers at head office (connected to our Core) and at remote side and want to shape or limit traffic say

up to 10 of the link bandwith between the two sites.

What would be the configuration?

Any help is very much appreciated.
