How to team ports on a catalyst 3560x

I have 2 Catalyst 3560x switches each with 4 Gbic uplink modules.  What I would like to do is connect 3 of the modules on one switch to 3 modules on the other switch to create a 3 Gb channel.

Please note that while I am pretty computer savvy, I know next to nothing about configuring Cisco Switches.  I can Telnet into the switches but that's about it. 

Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to use the CLI to team these ports?  I tried viewing the documentation on etherchannel that cisco has on their site but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is nothing like called TEaming on the cisco switches. To connect multiple ports between the module to share the bandwidth we called the concept Etherchannel.

BTW, a 3 port Etherchannel will work, but because of binary computations, it doesn't share load across all the links equally.  (Expected loading will be: 3/8:3/8:2/8)

Also, when working with Etherchannel, you might need to change the default hashing algorithm, to improve how traffic is distributed across the links.  Ethernet doesn't help provide additional when it only uses one of its links.  (NB: Likely on a 3560X, default algorithm will be okay.)
