How to verify interface state

Hi

I'd like to see if my interfaces that are trunking are in the no-negotiate mode, I'd like to run a command to verify the interface states. Can somone please let me know what the command would be?

Thanks

Dan

I think this is what u are after :

SW01#sh interfaces gigabitEthernet 2/1 switchport

Name: Gi2/1

Switchport: Enabled

Administrative Mode: private-vlan trunk

Operational Mode: down

Administrative Trunking Encapsulation: dot1q

Negotiation of Trunking: On <=====================

Access Mode VLAN: 1 (default)

Trunking Native Mode VLAN: 1 (default)

Administrative Native VLAN tagging: enabled

Voice VLAN: none

Administrative private-vlan host-association: none

Administrative private-vlan mapping: none

Administrative private-vlan trunk native VLAN: ---------------------Snipped----------

Re: How to verify interface state

Try "show interface trunk"

Switch#sh int gi7/1 trunk

Port Mode Encapsulation Status Native vlan

Gi7/1 on 802.1q trunk-inbndl 101

(Po101)

Port Vlans allowed on trunk

Gi7/1 1-4094

Port Vlans allowed and active in management domain

Gi7/1 1,11-14,16,21-24,90,93,101,110,112-113,115,161,666,901-902,904-905,990

Port Vlans in spanning tree forwarding state and not pruned

Gi7/1 1,11-14,16,21-24,90,93,101,110,112-113,115,161,666,901-902,904-905,990

Switch#
