I have bought a HP J2611B 10BT 16-PORT ADVANCESTACK HUB and have connected to my Switch 2960-S but don't see the HP HUB. Would be working in the physic layer only the HP Hub?

Hub don't have any "identity". Hubs work only in Layer 1. The main thing to look for is the LED light is green.
