Yes.You can.
But the better way is to connect is
router A -----------L2 switch ----- Primary Firewall
|
|
Router B------------ L2 Switch ---- Secondary Firewall.
Either you can use, single L2 or 2xL2.
Thanks

Hi,
You need to have Layer 2 communication device in between these routers to share the HSRP messages.Initial stage these hsrp message will use to identify who are all in the same HSRP group.Later it is used to check the availability of active router.
Based on your configuration, One rotuer act as active and another one will be standby
The router are in the same HSRP group has to share their interface details with its virtual mac address.so if you dont have any layer 2 communication device, the virtual mac address cannot share to the routers.
