Is this possible via pseudowire?
Alternatively two sites, both with internet connectivity - one deemed to be primary link the other failover. Sites also connected at L3 via a Service providers MPLS network.
What mechanism do I use to tell the site's network to use the failover link when the primary link fails?

You can use weighted statics

As I pressed the submit button I recalled that as a possible solution.
However, I think I may have a requirement for a single published IP gateway address. Not sure how this would work though..

What about BGP/EIGRP/IGRP and weighted static of the backup of 180
So when the primary link fails the protocol will drop and see the satic of 180 as the best route(backup router)
