Identical Switch and IOS - Different commands

Hi Guys,

I just have a question, although this is not a big deal for us. We have two identical 3750 switch stacks. Each stack has 3 switches. Both have identical hardware and IOS configuration. I'm wondering why the other stack doesn't have "show" commands on the user mode prompt. Please see attachment. Can someone help explain this? Thank you very much.

Regards,

John

Re: Identical Switch and IOS - Different commands

I notice with the one text you start with enabled mode then issue a disable. On the other, looks like you start in user mode. You might think this is identical, but you can have different privilege level, from 0 to 15. Your disable might be placing you in mode 0, which usually by default, allows almost no commands. Believe initial default mode is usually level 1. Try "disable 1" instead of just "disable" or "enable 1" after using "disable".
