I've been trying to find out why our IE-3000 4TC with a IEM 3000 4PC never shows the IEM 3000 4PC ports. I found out that a problem was that IE-3000 came with 12.2 IOS which doesn't support the 4PC module but I managed to get TAC to allow me to download 15.0(2)SE6 after some complaining. This was direct ship from Cisco so I don't know why it would come with software that was incompatible and then get told I don't have the option to get the software that will work because I don't have smartnet on the equipment (yet).
But still after upgrading there doesn't seem to be any activity at all between the switch and the module. It's connected properly from how the documentation says but if there is anything I can do to help get this going I'd greatly appreciate any assistance. If I plug in a cable into the module it lights up but nothing else happens.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
