Do you have any hosts connected to that interface, and yes IGMPv1, 2 and 3 are compatible but only in the router/host relationship, meaning that IGMPv1, IGMPv2 and IGMPv3 routers can't coexist on the same LAN, but a version 2 router can have a version 1 client.
Hi guy, The igmp ver3 can be compatibe with igmp ver2. The most difference between ver2 and ver3 is when ver3 receive igmp report, it require both multicast channel address and exact rp/source address while ver2 do not check rp/ source address.
