Image copy between pc cards

Dear all,

I have 2 pc cards. One with IOS image c6sup11-jsv-mz.121-26.E3 and bootldr c6msfc-boot-mz.121.26.E3 bin

another PC Card is blank. I need to copy the both images to this blank pc card.

My setup is below.

6509 chassis + 2x1800W powersupply.

There is no line modules.

But i will be arranging one more sup1A for the failover config.

Please tell me we can copy the image using single sup1A or we need 2 sup1A.

Also the procedures to do so.

Thanks in advance

swamy

Re: Image copy between pc cards

It is better to use two Sup 1A.transfer the image from PC card to TFTP and then to Sup 1A and see if it works.

Re: Image copy between pc cards

It is probably quickest to just back up the files to TFTP. Then you can swap the PCMCIA card on the fly, and copy them onto the new card. 6500s allow swapping of the card, while some older systems like some 1600s did not.
