Hi,
I want to copy a file from one ASR1001 and copy it to another. I ntried using tftp 32 but this is not going to work as the image is 315 MB.
Can someone please give me directions on how to copy an image from one router directly to another router's flash, if possible?
Thanks, Pat.

I ntried using tftp 32 but this is not going to work as the image is 315 MB.
I have a pair of ASR1002 in two locations and I've pumped the IOS from my PC using TFTPd32/TFTPd64 and I don't have a problem.
And I've done this very, very regularly.

So, I should be able to download and uplaod an image this size using tftp32? I just tried and it keeps failing. My firewall is off on my PC. If I am reading this correctly, the image is 315MB. Is that correct?

Then I changed the tftp source to a different interface on the router and I actually got some messages from the tftp server log. So, it was trying to hit the tftp server for sure.

Hi Patrick,
Something is blocking this or could be an application conflict.
Here are two more options for you to try:
1. Use a different TFTP software that will support that file size such as SolarWinds' Free TFTP Server.
2. If you are close to the appliance, then you can use USB to transfer the file to the one physically closest to you and TFTP-transfer to the furthest one.

I've not done direct router-to-router transfer, but you can FTP the file from one router's flash to your computer, then FTP it to another router.

Downloaded filezilla and it worked great.
Thanks, Pat
