incomplete hardware addr

Hello,

I have one device on my network that shows up in the mac-address-table and looks like this:

Internet 192.168.20.28 0 Incomplete ARPA

When i take the device and plug it into a different port on the switch it works fine, but on the current port I get an incomplete address.

Both ports, the working vs non-working one, are part of the same VLAN ?

yes they are both on the same vlan.

Are you able to ping the device when connected to the 'incomplete ARP' port ?

Can you post the show run int fx/x and show int fx/x from each port you've used to troubleshoot this problem ?
