I have another multicast question. Please see attached diagram.
The serial to IP conversion unit has several Ethernet ports that outputs the same four groups of multicast data; 18.104.22.168 thru 22.214.171.124. What I would like to do is take two legs from the unit and feed them separately into the two groups shown into the 3560 switch. Group 1 has the
source port 15 (VLAN 5) with receiver port 1 (VLAN 10) and port 2 (VLAN 15). I would like this group to recieve only multicast groups
126.96.36.199 and 188.8.131.52.
Group 2 has the other source port 14 (VLAN 6) with receiver port 3(VLAN 20) and port 4(VLAN 25). I would like this group to receive only muticast
groups 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11.
I know the switch is able to IP route thanks to the help by the Forum. Is there a way to do this?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
