Possibly, that's a bad IOS version you are running.  Try 12.2(55)SE8.

Post the output to the following commands:

1.  sh interface ;

2.  sh controll e

Thanks Leo for the reply .

We are seeing some minimal counters in physical(trunk) interfaces . But in the vlan interface it is howing 0 only .

We are using this switch for L3 distribution . All users communication needs to come here only for intervlan routing or to internet. But vlan interface is not showing anything ,

show interfaces vlan xx

You may need to consider upgrading the IOS to something more stable, like 12.2(55)SE8.

interface counters are not increasing in cisco 3750 switch

Hello Vijay.

You might be hitting the bug id CSCsu83445.

show interface shows 0 packet in interface input and output rate

Symptoms

: An input/output rate is always displayed with "0" in interface  status, even though packets are flowing on the ports normally.

Resolution:

Use the value of the show int gigx/y count detail command  to see the raw statistics.

http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCsu83445

Anyways consider upgrading the IOS version, 12.2(53) is too old I don't think it has support any more.

Regards.

Wilson B.
