     reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255
  Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
  Keepalive set (10 sec)
  Full-duplex, 1000Mb/s, media type is 10/100/1000BaseT
input flow-control is off, output flow-control is off
  Clock mode is auto
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input never, output 00:00:11, output hang never

Kindly advice how to resolve this issue

Re: Interface output erros incrementing.

Could be a duplex mismatch.  Are both sides hard set to 1gb?

Re: Interface output erros incrementing.

Already setted to the 1gb and duplex full.but same errors are incrementing.

Re: Interface output erros incrementing.

Is the other end or the switch setup the same? what is it?

post "show int status"

Have you replaced cable?

Re: Interface output erros incrementing.

I am facing this issue in 5 ports in this module (6500)

Connection details:-

SW Gi 1/33(Access-Port)----------------------Router(Gi 0/0)

I didn,t tried the cable changing..

What is the reason for the output drops comming in interface; how we can overcome this error.

Kindly advice

Re: Interface output erros incrementing.

Output drops are caused by a congested interface.

  • Check your speed and duplex is setup to full duplex on both sides, if problem still exist  try change cable
  • If output drops still occur after you adjust the configuration of the router as recommended, it means that you cannot prevent or decrease output drops. However, you can control them, and this can be as effective as prevention. There are two approaches to control output drops:

    • Congestion management

    • Congestion avoidance

What card is this and what is the router at the far end?

The card model is WS-X6548-GE-TX. The router is connected directily...

    check the

    1. network cable

    2. device speed harcoded

    3. Post sh controller int < interface_id> config

    4. Is the other end connected to a hub or switch ,try to coonect to some other switch port where problem is not there
