Hello Community,
we are planning to downgrade/upgrade our 2960s and 2690x switches to IOS Version 15.0.2. Is there a recommended Release where we don't have to expect too many bugs ;) I'm looking for the most stable version of this release train. Any help is highly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Benjamin

Hi,
This is difficult question to answer as every environment is different and run different feature sets and almost every IOS has bugs. Pick a version and read the release notes for it, go over all the bug fixes, test it in the lab before you install it in production.

Hi
IOS 15.1 has been a stable version handling both voice and data traffic, not sure about the 15.2 however, i would recommend you to go through the known bugs which should help you in choosing.

Hello Reza, hello Raajtilak,
thanks for your replies.
I was actually looking for some advice on which minor release to choose, e.g. 15.0.2-EX5(ED), 15.0.2-EX4(ED), 15.0.2-EX3(ED), 15.0.2-EX1(ED), 15.0.2-EX(ED), 15.0.2-SE6(ED), 15.0.2-SE5(ED), (..) 15.0.1-SE1(ED), 15.0.1-SE(ED) and so on.
Right now we have deployed IOS Version 15.2(1)E on our switches, and we are facing some serious issues (see [1] and [2]) with this IOS Version. Before downgrading, I want to make sure that this version is field-proven and considered to be "stable" enough for an productive invironment.

We've been running 15.2(1)E1 on our 2960s stacks without issue. They are running snmp v3, dhcp snooping, arp inspection, spanning tree, port security, device sensor.
