IOS Upgrade Cat 6506 Sup2MSFC2 to 122-18.SX

Hi all,

I am trying to upgrade my Cat6506 Sup2 to the release 122-18.SX but I am unable to load it from the disk0: Do I need to do something special in order to load this IOS? I alredy tried the command:

boot system disk0:s222-adventerprisek9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF8.bin

but it didn't take it, it always boots from the sup-bootflash.

I would suggest to post your normal queries under LAN Switching & Routing or WAN Routing & Switching instead of posting it here.

Anyways do check out for boot command statements in your switch i feel you got a boot statement pointing towards your sup-bootflash.

Delete the boot statement pointing towards your sup-bootflash.

Once you are done the current boot statement pointing via disk0 will come into effect.

For redundancy purpose do add a boot statement pointing towards your sup-bootflash.

Do keep in mind whenever your are adding a boot statement it wont be taken as primary statement instead it will be added to the existing boot commands..
