Dear Sir,
I am trying to copy IOS image to Cisco 4503-E switch via tftp in ROMMON mode as someone removed image from the flash.when i check rommon commands there is no xmodem or copy commands there.,so i went with tftp.The connection between the switch and my laptop ok.
So I use following command to transfer image to flash,
rommon>boot tftp://10.0.0.1/filename.bin
but there is error called "tftp session failed: Access violation " ,. I disable windows firewall and tried several times.
I mentioned the set command output below.
rommon> set
PS1=rommon! >
ConfigReg=0x0102
Rommonver=15.0(1r)SG2
IpAddr=10.0.0.1
Netmask=255.0.0.0
Broadcast=10.255.255.255
Gateway=10.0.0.254
BootedFilename=tftp://10.0.0.2/ios.bin
(My image is file in the root directory of tftp server)
Please I kindly ask you to help me as soon as possible .
Thanks in Advaned

Hi
the syntax looks abit off compared to the docs for rommon tftp , have you tried the below way instead ?
rommon 11 > IP_ADDRESS=192.168.1.5
rommon 12 > IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.0
rommon 13 > DEFAULT_GATEWAY=192.168.1.1
rommon 14 > TFTP_SERVER=192.168.1.10
rommon 15 > TFTP_FILE=c1841-advipservicesk9-mz.124-13a.bin
rommon 16 > tftpdnld
.

Use TFTPDNLD in Rommon
With the appearance of USB ports and SD card slot, xModem & TFTPdnld are old school and very slow.

I agree with you Leo . I just wanted to talk about "How to use TFTPDNLD"
BTW, Leo could you participate in my topic please ( Core switch selection ).

ConfigReg=0x0102
This value is incorrect.
Connect a console cable to the supervisor card and reboot. I want to see the entire boot-up process, including the error messages.

Hmmmm ... Look at the error message in the TFTP screenshot: Directory name is invalid.
And, WTF!, the supervisor card is a Sup7E. Aside from the archaic method of uploading an IOS using TFTPdnld or xModem, the line card as a USB port and a SD card slot.
The IOS can be loaded using either USB port of SD card slot.

Dear Mr.Leo,
As you said I was trying to boot from USB .MY flash drive was detected and when i execute the command ,
rommon>boot usb0:filename.bin
there is an error massage called file has bad magic number.Then i thought the issue with my ios , i tried with another LAN base ios also but the same problem .The IOSs are not corrupt . I attached screen shot and hope your kind reply again.

"Bad magic number" means the file is corrupt.
Go to the Cisco website and compare the MD5 hash value of the file downloaded against the MD5 hash value found in the Cisco website. Both values must match.

Thank you very much Mr.Leo
I will try again tomorrow .
