faced ip address conflict in one of our client nw, just want to know
how to track the conflicting mac adress so that it can be isolated.
If you want to see what are all the ip address configured and allotted to your network devices then you can try with ip scanner tool to identify the ip address allotted to devices, tool like solar winds can be helpful to identify the ip to mac binding in network.
If you know the offending mac address, you could try "show mac-address-table | include abcd.abcd.abcd" Where abcd is the mac address. This will show you the port that the switch last saw the address on. It wont work if the host has been quiet for a long time.
"show arp" might also help you on your router/l3 switch.
