Hi There

224.0.0.2 is the multicast IP address to which HSRP packets are sent.

Is there a probelm with your HSRP configuration??

Best Regards,

Michael

Thanks for the replay,

The HSRP is configuration fine? But still I am not able to point out what is the cause of the actual error.

I believe that this same question was posted in another forum and that Harold Ritter responded that this is a normal output of running debug on HSRP.

One of the issues with cross posting the same question in multiple forums is that you can get an answer in one forum that the other forum is not aware of. It is better to post questions in a single forum (use a second forum only if a question has been in one forum for a while without being resolved)
