IP Helper Address

I understand how the IP helper Address command works and I know that you can have several IP helper addresses on the one router interface.

But, can anyone tell me, does the router transmit to all configured ip helper addresses on the one interface at the same time, or does it do it sequentially (one at a time).

If it does do it sequentially (one at a time) does anyone know what the timeout is before it moves on to the second helper address ..

Thanks

The router sends the DHCP request to all the IP helper addresses that you have configured at the same time. The first to respond is the one that will be used.
