IP issue

I have a strange problem that I can't resolve. A virtual server has been assigned a particular ip address (10.10.10.14) and all the TCP/IP addressing is accurate. When pinging any ip address within the same VLAN10 (10.10.10.x), all hosts respond just fine; however, when trying to ping the default gateway (10.10.10.1) or any other hosts outside the VLAN10 (10.10.10.x), nothing responds.

Can someone tell me what I need to look for or what I am missing?

Show arp - See if the IP address of your virtual server is in there with an improper MAC address.

clear arp - If it is in there.

Verify there's not a mis-configured NAT statement on the router.

Post a sanitized config if you'd like further help.

Can you check if your default gateway is configured in your host or if it is not down.

Hi Istvan,

This virtual server is plugged into a 6500 Switch and on a VLAN10. The default gateway along with the subnet mask are properly configured. As mentioned in my earlier post, the server can ping local VLAN10 hosts and all other hosts when the last octect is changed from .14 to any other #.
