IP Route

My fa0/0 is getting a public ip address from my isp via dhcp set on the interface 63.17.X.X

and

my fa0/1 is 192.168.0.1 /24

Since both are connected interfaces do I have to do a ip route command to get out on the internet? If so, I do not know the next hop of the ISP. For example:

ip route 63.17.0.0 - subnet mask - next hop???

Am I going about this wrong?

Re: IP Route

Your default route should be

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 dhcp

or

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 fastethernet0/0
