IPX in Campus

In our layer3 campus there are some novell / ipx workstations in different buildings . Because of missing ipx routing capability in 3550 swithes , connection between hosts was losted .

Is there any way to connect these workstations?

Re: IPX in Campus

Hi,

If you must use routing protocol the better solution is creta a tunnel interface and send IPX traffic for this tunnel.

Re: IPX in Campus

Dear friend

Thanks for your email ,but as i mentioned before, i need ipx connectivity in campus area which contain Cisco 3550 switches , without IPX routing capability . In the document GRE tunnel is maded by two router and IPX routing command.

Re: IPX in Campus

You might look into fall back bridgeing for the 3550's . The 3550's need the EMI image to support this
