IPX routing across vlans

Two Novell 3.x (DOS) PCs which try to access Windows server running NW Services for Microsoft. Windows server is on VLAN 100 and Novell PCs are on VLAN 50.

W2K Server

NW Services for Microsoft

IPX "name" NW-S05

192.168.193.152

Switchport set to VLAN 100

DOS PCs

Novell Client

Ethernet II

Switchport set to VLAN 50

L3 Core switch (C6509) is being used for routing between vlans.

Does anyone have a sample config of how vlan interface should be configured to "route ipx" between the vlans?

TIA

Re: IPX routing across vlans

IPX routing works similar to IP routing.

When your router (C6509) supports IPX you should assign an IPX network to each vlan and then it will work.

Most important question is whether IPX is supported on the core. Please post your version info if you want us to check.

regards,

Leo
