Is it possible to block a MAC address?

I have been asked to block a MAC address on a router 1700 series, IOS 12.3(4)T2

Is this possible? Help, thank you

It appears that it might be possible. Have a look at the postings on this link http://puck.nether.net/pipermail/cisco-nsp/2004-September/012937.html and see if it helps.

The model used was a 1721.

You can block based on mac addresses using the "Named MAC Extended ACLs".

But i do not know if it is available on 1700s.

To configure named mac ACL's, here is a link which might help you.
