Is Storm-Control Broadcast on 6500's w/sup32 possible?

We are running the latest IOS 12.2(33)SXH2 on our L2 6504 and are trying to utilize the broadcast storm control command. When we enable the command on an interface, we get a command rejected response (see below). Can Broadcast control be ran on a 6500 and if so what other configurations must be made to enable this feature?

testswitch1.sba(config-if)#storm-control broadcast level 30

Command Rejected: Broadcast suppression is not supported on 3/1

It looks like it is supported on your device, but not that particular port. Do you have port configuration available for us to look at?

Yeah below is the current port configuration that the storm-control broadcast xx command was applied to. FYI I also tried the command on the port after I removed the voice vlan command (so that the port was truly only an access port), and still receive the same error:

interface GigabitEthernet3/1

description Test PC and Phone

switchport access vlan xx

switchport mode access

switchport voice vlan xy
