I keep getting these messages under my syslog, it comes up for different ports, not all the time but enough to notice. This is on a 3750G stack of 8 switches.

what kinda devices are connected on these ports ?

Laptops

Hi

If the laptop's are frequently coneected n disconnected on the network then its a normal behaviour.

Thanks

as far as i can see this looks perfectly normal. all it means is that the device on port 9 of switch number 7, has been disconected. if it's a PC then it's probably been rebooted or the cable has been unpluged.

The logs would only be a concern if they are being generated without the Laptop being disconnected or restarted

If this is the case, check for errors on the switch interface and would probably be due to speed & duplex mismatch
