I've been looking into upgrading our infrastructure consisting out of three 6509 switches with two WS-C3560X-24T-S switches. Those 2 switches will be placed between 6509-1 and 6509-2. I want to keep the two 3560x switches outside the spanning-tree domain(Layer 2 protocol tunneling) of the three 6509's. Also a few trunk ports from the 6509's connecting to the 3560x's should be tunneled with QinQ to the other side. So physically 6509-1 and 6509-2 will be connected to the 3560's and logically they will be connected to each other.
I've already used the feature navigator to check if the functionality is supported for the 3560x and it seems to be supported.
Now my question is if some of you could confirm that what we want to accomplish actually is possible with the named technologies and 3560x switches.
Thanks in advance and don't hesitate to ask some questions!
