Hi,
Have a core switch, with trunks to 3020 blade switches, that in turn support a chassis with blade servers in.
When slotted in to the blade server chassis, the server connects logically to both the 3020 blade switches, that are side by side, therefore the server connects to the same internal port on both switches.
Customer wants to run LACP on a blade server and is asking if it's possible to run this across the two blade switches. Checked all over the place in Cisco documentation, but can't seem to find the answer or any hints.
No other servers are running in this type of config and all other blade switches are running PAGP etherchannel to the core switch without issue. I know for sure that on the blade switches you can specify PAGP or LACP on individual etherchannels, but can it do it across two blade switches I wonder?
Can anyone shed any light on this please? Any help very much appreciated

Hi Ali,
You cannot configure etherchannel across the different 3020 bladeswitches. This would require stacking capability to create a single logical switch, which is only supported on 3120X bladeswitch.
